I’m blind & I just had to say my voting choices out loud in the middle of my polling station.

Voting is inaccessible for many blind & visually impaired people.

I find it shocking how Labour figures locally have sought to exploit this situation. Saying “don’t be like Tom Hunt”, kind of like “don’t be dyspraxic”. They claim to want a more inclusive Parliament then pile on when I make a genuine human error.

Today I was refused entrance to Stratford Mags unless I agreed to a ‘pat down’ search. I explained I was happy for my bag, pockets, coat etc to be searched, but I did not understand why a pat down is necessary - I did not want to be patted down because of my last experience (1/?)
