Final shout out goes to our Team Mom Sonya Graber for the incredible amount of work she has done this year for our team!! No one does it better!! But especially for being such a huge cheerleader for all of our girls!! Thank you so much for all your work and all your energy!! ⭐️

Coach Sammons has been a great help with the throwers this year! He is technically one of the 8th boys assistants, but has thoughtfully and willingly shared his time with our girls as well!! They have shown great growth, and we are really thankful for all of his help!

Coach Einertson joined us this year from Lake Mills. He has fit in wonderfully and brought a ton of knowledge!! He worked with the 400– 1500m girls, long jumpers, relay exchanges and really wherever needed!! He also spent a ton of time talking track and helping me with lineups!

Coach Lorenz has been with me for 3 years! She was a heptathlete at UNI so she provides a load of expertise in many events! She coached our high jumpers and worked with the sprinters, block starts, and relay exchanges. She is super fun and fantastic at connecting with the girls!!

I want to give a huge thank you to our assistant coaches!! Everyone knows that these folks are the ones who do all the important coaching work, and I couldn’t ask for a better group!! They are knowledgeable, great at building relationships, and just super fun to be around!!

What a night for the Ankeny Hawk programs. We (unofficially) qualified 17 of 19 events. 8 individuals and 4 relays AQ. Another 7 individuals and 3 relays will get in on time/distance. So awesome to share with the guys. We have something special going over here on the southside.

3rd Place Finish at 8th Grade State Meet 👏🏼

And most importantly, a super fun group to be around! 😊

It was a fun end to the season last night with the victory lap and having the whole team together at Marshalltown. The team thought silly string was an appropriate way to finish out the career. I’m glad they chose that rather than Gatorade!!

Congratulations to the girls on taking their third meet title of the season tonight at Marshalltown!! Really happy for them and all of their accomplishments this year!! An especially fantastic group of athletes!
