Tyler Castelo, High Moons Studio 3D cinematic Animator, emphasizes the importance in learning the fundamental tools of animation when creating a fight choreography. By dissecting a fight scene in Netflix’s show Arcane, he was able to demonstrate the principle of animation.

Each student was able to create their first pitch bibles as Ben Adams taught them how to pitch show ideas! Ben goes through his process of creating each page, from different cover page compositions to story synopsis.

Netflix Storyboard Revisionist Darrell Watson Jr. encourages the students to find their artistic voice! Darrell brings great examples of various artistic voice in each pop culture and the impact it has made throughout our culture.

At Creator X Camp, Cartoon Network and Futurama Storyboard Artist Makena Bajar encouraged students to not be afraid of bad drawings! Makena teaches each artist the importance of imperfection in a a stage of animation that constantly needs changes, Storyboarding!

Arts Alive was a hit! Over 500 Elementary and Middle school students had the opportunity to come explore the animation program we have here. Each student was given a fun custom pinwheel and got to meet with Spider-Man!
