Great to see fresh proposals for conversion of the iconic Met Tower into new city centre residential accommodation. Lots happening in this area, with George Square and key streets being transformed through the Avenues, and the completion of new developments such as Love Loan.

Air pollution has been cut by a third in Glasgow city centre since the Low Emission Zone was introduced. With legal pollution limits met at all recorded locations for the first time, cleaner air means reduced health risks and a more pleasant city centre experience for everyone.

Two of our deep clean teams have been busy cleaning vegetation & weeds from paths/footways at 4 locations across Yorkhill (Blackie St, Overnewton St, Esmond St & Nairn St) & will be back out in other areas of the city tomorrow (14 Aug). We have 23 teams covering each city ward.
