Super exciting NASA Webb Telescope result from a team of Canadian astronomers! The Sparkler Galaxy, part of Webb's Deep Field, seems to be surrounded by glittering globular clusters of stars that might host some of the oldest stars observed.

I've always had a weakness for Chandra Observatory images. Beautiful to see Webb images combined with Chandra observations!

Bing bang boop! They did it!

These cosmic “tree rings” tell a story written by the stars. Every 8 years, these 2 stars are brought together by their orbits, creating streams of gas that can then form a new ring of dust. Webb reveals 15 of the 17 rings here for the first time: nasa.gov/feature/jpl/st…
