It's just ironic, the timing of this local power outage. Only affecting a few blocks, but frankly the whole country is sitting in the dark. It's just more literal for me and my neighbors atm.

The world's 10 richest people saw their fortunes skyrocket by a jaw-dropping $64 billion after Trump's victory Tuesday night. Make no mistake: the ultra-wealthy and Wall Street will make out like bandits during the second Trump term. Everyone else will be left behind.

This is what convinces me the war is unwinnable. Increasingly, they got everything, we got nuthin'. And the game is more fixed than ever.

All this analysis and conjecture about the loss, which is understandable. But so few mentions that some who talked a good game ultimately maybe just couldn't fill in the dot for a 1. Black 2. Asian 3. woman. It's just odd how small a piece of the conversation it is.

I see a two-step process in Tom Nichols's latest. 1. Accept that democracy is not over. (I'm not there yet.) 2. Do something to save it. (I'm hoping I get there.)

One of the few reasons I stay here is, both legacy and nontraditional media see it as a necessary evil. I'm here because I get news from them here. How do we solve that quandary? At what point do they see Proud Boys Central as the wrong place for them to be? How to hasten that?

So many people I otherwise respect hurl more money at Elon so they can write longer tweets and see fewer ads. Whatever gets you through the night, I guess, but let's not say that tiny part of your soul isn't for sale.
