It’s hard to tell when schools make decisions to protect their students vs. protect their reputations. Regardless of motive, this is the right outcome.

Teachers don’t get paid extra for going above and beyond but the benefit to students is priceless. Moments like this show them that they are worth more than the bare minimum.
