Pushed the pace a bit tonight 🥵 After my lactate threshold test this week to check my HR zones, my lactate turn point is closer to 7 min miles than 7:30 now 👍🏻 so I’ve got the green light to run faster 😆

That’s been a busy day! 5 hour round trip to Scarborough court, quick change into running kit in the service station on the way back then a hilly road league race at 7pm, let’s just say it wasn’t shorts and vest weather! 🥶🏃🏼‍♀️ I better sleep well tonight 😴

Can’t believe this was a year ago! Such an amazing day and a great achievement for my first marathon 🙌🏻🏃🏼‍♀️

Enjoyed the Terrorvsion gig so much last night, we’ve booked another gig! It’s one of my bucket list bands…PEARL JAM 🙌🏻 I’ve now got Weezer, Green Day and Pearl Jam in the same month. What is your bucket list band? I would still love to see Metallica! 🤘

Yesterday was a running rest day (always a struggle!) but I did my PT session and a walk. The leg strength work is certainly paying off 🙌🏻 I’ve got a local 9km trail race this morning 🏃🏼‍♀️ weather is looking promising!

Looking forward to the terrorvision gig tomorrow night 🙌🏻 I last saw them supporting Def Leppard at Don Valley bowl in Sheffield when I was 16. Fast forward 30 years 😆

Good luck to everyone running Manchester on Sunday 👍🏻Manchester was my first marathon and so far my only marathon. I was so nervous on the day but kept remembering to trust the process…I had done the training and just needed to stick with the plan. Fortunately, it worked 😃

Training is going well ✔️ 32 miles in the last 7 days, resting HR is 42 today so my fitness is definitely improving. Love my new Sweaty Betty shorts and top 😃🏃🏼‍♀️

We had a lovely Rucklidge Law catch up over lunch today! How nice is it that I could take my daughter along to meet colleagues 🥰 I am so lucky to work for such an amazing, supportive firm ☺️

Back on the trails with running club tonight. Just over 10km with the pacy group. I had to walk the really muddy sections so add about 10 mins onto the time shown 😬🤣 Enjoyed it and feeling fitter each week 🙌🏻🏃🏼‍♀️

My legs have recovered well after Sunday’s Sheffield HM! Glutes were sore from the uphills and quads from the downhills but I ran 7km with my friend on Monday night and I’m back at running club tonight 🙌🏻 On reflection, 1:49 is a top result only 6 months after surgery!

I do love a comparison pic as motivation! These pics are 10 years apart. The difference 🙌🏻 fitter, leaner, faster, happier and more motivated than ever as I approach my later 40s 😆🏃🏼‍♀️

The joy of the start and the relief of the finish! 😅 I’m feeling good today though and managed a 4.5 mile run with my friend tonight 😄 I’m really loving running again (although not the final mile of yesterday’s HM!)
