Standing room only! A sold out night on a cloudy ‘stargazing’ evening! With plenty else to talk about and show, we kept the public entertained. Outside displays running with projectors and indoor talks and further displays with freebies from ESO Looking forward to next event

Last night saw us helping Dedham Vale Dark Skies run their first FREE Dark Sky Fair at Boxted village hall. The attendance was great throughout the day. From 3.30pm till 10pm we had families young and old come.

Talks ranged from nocturnal animals, Dark skies, the solar system to astrophotography! Something for everyone! 🥰With telescopes set up outside viewing the sun and then trained on evening objects as the darkness came finished the day off perfectly! ✨

1/2 What a totally fantastic and immersive evening we all had last night. A lovely birthday treat for my lovely lady, with lovely friends, to #TheLostEstate In Kensington for a #SherlockHolmes #HoundoftheBaskervilles show. 3 course Michelin Chef dinner, drinks and murder!

2/2 Highly recommended going! Sadly this was the last showing of Sherlock Holmes last night, but from November they will be showing Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. Really worth the effort to dress up in period costume too to add to the experience!

Andy Downman and Blakey🏎💨🛩🚀🔭☔️ were at Upminster Scouts tonight helping them achieve their astronomy badge. Andy managed to view and image the comet whilst setting up 🔭 Inside Paul talked to the scouts, and even if he didn’t manage to see the ☄️ he got the lions share of the 🍕😂

Was great night lastnight. Amazing views of moon, Saturn and Andy Downman even managed to image the comet via phone too!

Amazing night with Dedham Vale Dark Skies at Polstead for the ‘Parade of Planets’. Amazing turnout and great feedback from all that attended. See you all again soon.

Looking like a good night tonight for our FREE stargazing event at tiptree jam factory tonight. Park in the main carpark at the tearoom/shop and follow the red led lights to where we will be set up. 6.30-9.30pm. All ages welcome.
