A thoughtful look at the complexity of homelessness and inhumanity of sweeping camps w/out a plan for where people will live, thx to the amazing Alex Zielinski 3000ChallengePDX portlandmercury.com/news/2022/07/1…
The housing and homelessness plan from Jessica Vega Pederson is the most thought out and feasible
A far better solution is 3000ChallengePDX. Use tax dollars to move people into housing. Shelters are expensive, and what happens if folks don't go? Arrest them? And, by this logic, should we not defund police because of rising crime? oregonlive.com/opinion/2022/0…
While the editorial board still doesn’t get it about shelters, they got this right. Jessica Vega Pederson has the best plan on homelessness/housing. Hint: it’s more than shelters oregonlive.com/opinion/2022/1…
Once again, the 3000ChallengePDX offers a more-cost effective and humane solution. wweek.com/news/city/2022…
Get the need 4 action. And there R elements like new housing that make sense. But let's enact strategies (like 3000ChallengePDX) BEFORE we start talking about banning camping. This just creates so much more trauma for people living outside. oregonlive.com/politics/2022/…
More good evidence that housing first works 3000ChallengePDX and part of how Multnomah County, OR helped place 4500 people in housing in past year oregonlive.com/portland/2022/…

Hey, Transamerica, maybe you should allow your customers to opt-in to your sharing our data with "affiliates" rather than require a cumbersome process to opt-out. Paying for insurance, not spam
Had to go all the way to Edinburgh to see my former Portland Parks Board buddy, KendallClawson
