If my numbers are correct, the New England Revolution is the team that has conceded the most goals to Lionel Messi since he arrived in MLS. That’s 7 including today’s, with Columbus in second place with 4, tied with Montreal. #NERevs

To watch a coach struggle early, then coach his team to a win streak…then fall back to earth…then demolish Montreal on the road…then utterly fall apart and allow 2.7GA/90 the rest of the way *without firing him* is nuts But to watch him do the SAME thing the following year…

I don’t think it much matters how this game ends. This was Porter’s chance to right the ship against the worst team in the conference. At home. After a series of bad results. Against the only team you’ve beaten in 14 tries. It had to be dominant. #NERevs

Another poor result for Caleb Porter. The #NERevs are historically bad. They have tied their second worst home winless streak (seven games, originally achieved in 2011) and are now winless in nine. The worst team in the league came to Gillette Stadium and left with a 3-1 win.

With their loss tonight the #NERevs have won just 7 of their 28 home matches since the start of 2024. That’s a 25% win rate at home for those keeping score.
