I didn’t care about the decklist thing either way. I agree with WOTC in principal tbh. But I think WOTC should just do whatever Robert Taylor🔥 asks them to do.

Lost the finals of the LCQ draft. I had a great sealed pool and my draft deck was medium and I faced an absolute freight train of a deck in the finals. So it’s all G.

My top 4 opponent after being overtly chatty got unlucky in game 3 and decided to be a huge baby about it and tossed his cards down and said “I guess you’re just the better magic player” Embarrassing shit tbh. Don’t be that guy.

My hero is elliot. Not just for crushing the RC But for actually calling out people who slow play all the time. I’m sick of the same people playing slowly all the time with no social or in game repercussions

The hardest sell for standard being one of the best formats its ever been is that new cards come out way too often. It is near impossible to keep up with. Getting cards is costly and difficult. They will never fix this though because more sets equals more $.

Hey Face to Face Games am I reading this correctly. Do the Tour Stops no longer have qualifier+ or Super Qualifiers (whatever the opens were called)? I checked the schedule for some of the tour stops and noticed they were not there.

2 years later and it somehow got worse. At some point its not a failure on their part its by design that they don’t want RCQs to have support.

Hey Face to Face Games, are the super qualifiers just gone now? Does that mean first place at an RCQ no longer gets a bye for anything? Could you please explain any of this as it is relevant for the tournaments you’re holding.

F2F changing the "Opens" makes sense as they were failing. No announcement is weird. There was an announcement of increasing the prizing for opens in 2026 and they are now gone in 3 months entirely? Comp magic an afterthought now. Maybe rightfully so? Still sad though Kelly - #MagicConVegas

People thought they would ban stuff? What the hell? The formats seem fine. (idk about the fake formats) There is decent churn and the assumptions at the start of the season for decks is not the same as now, and with each event things seem to change. So maybe relax.

The Real answer for RCQ promos being bad is insanely simple. It's just the worst card from every commissioned secret lair set. It will simply never be good until they knock that off.

Andy, Aftermath Analyst (@andyawkward) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I wish they would kill the RCQ program and try something else. They are the least fun tournaments of all time. Maybe it's a Canada problem? All these events barely fire, half the event is qualified or doesn't care. It is so depressing.

Learned to play Pokémon TCG three weeks ago and went to a local event and went 4-0. The game is actually very good and fun. A lot of interesting stuff and it’s simpler and more peaceful than magic in some ways. Less rewarding and engaging though.
