A profound loss. Bob Booker was a civil rights hero, a public servant, and a prolific author whose impact on preserving and celebrating African American history extends far beyond a lifetime. His remarkable life is a celebration of courage, passion, and a commitment to justice.

A young life filled with so much promise, courage, hope, & dedication left too soon. Knoxville mourns the sudden loss of Officer Wisbens Antoine. Hearts are with his family & fellow officers. Although his journey was short, his legacy of serving others lives on inspiring us all.

Car accident deaths in Knox County increased 35% from 2022 to 2023 with 64% involving drugs and/or alcohol. My heart has broken with each fatal crash reported since we lost Kylie. These aren’t just statistics but our family members. More must be done to prioritize road safety.

I joined Mayor Kincannon to celebrate the Kingston Pike Complete Connections project today. A great example of levering opportunities along Knoxville’s commercial corridors to create a more accessible, safe, & livable city through new sidewalk, bike lanes, bus stop, & crosswalks.

Today we celebrate our Nation’s independence, which signaled not only our own freedom but ignited hope across this world. That hope is a thread that weaves us together in unity and is our greatest responsibility to nurture and protect as we continue in pursuit of its promise.🇺🇸

I’m remembering the joy and light that Kylie brought to our world on what would have been her 22nd birthday. Remember Kylie by spreading kindness for others, just as she did. Your love and warmth are missed and you are forever in our hearts sweet girl. Love you always Ms. K 💖🕊️

Restore Your Vote! TN law changed how we elect city council, reducing every voter’s voice to just 4 out of 9. The charter amendments restore your right to vote for all 9 members. Protect Knoxville’s accountable, responsive & diverse city council, vote YES on Amendments 1 and 2!

Mayor Kincannon, 7 current and 6 former City Council members are voting YES. Now it’s your turn Knoxville to restore your vote for all 9 city council members! Vote Yes on Amendment 2.

Theotis Robinson encourages "a resounding "Yes" on Knoxville City Charter No. 2." Clarifying that a "No" vote means that every voter "would be saddled with a majority on the City Council that is non-answerable to you..."knoxnews.com/story/opinion/…
