A profound loss. Bob Booker was a civil rights hero, a public servant, and a prolific author whose impact on preserving and celebrating African American history extends far beyond a lifetime. His remarkable life is a celebration of courage, passion, and a commitment to justice.

A young life filled with so much promise, courage, hope, & dedication left too soon. Knoxville mourns the sudden loss of Officer Wisbens Antoine. Hearts are with his family & fellow officers. Although his journey was short, his legacy of serving others lives on inspiring us all.

Efforts by Knoxville City Council and Knox County Commission working together to bring a mental health hospital to Knoxville took a big step forward this morning. I look forward to contributing to this important project to bring a much-needed hospital to Knoxville.

Car accident deaths in Knox County increased 35% from 2022 to 2023 with 64% involving drugs and/or alcohol. My heart has broken with each fatal crash reported since we lost Kylie. These aren’t just statistics but our family members. More must be done to prioritize road safety.
