At today's #GAC strongly welcomed the European Commission positive Report & recommendation to open negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

🇭🇷 expects EU Council now to act and decide to open negotiations and invite the European Commission to prepare the Negotiating Framework for 🇧🇦❗️

Today, in my speech, at #AFET of European Parliament stressed importance to seize geopolitical momentum in enlargement for candidate countries willing to reform & adhere to 🇪🇺 values.

Emphasized need for @EUCO to decide to open accession negotiations with Bosnia Herzegovina 🇧🇦❗️

Just arrived in Brussels for tomorrow's #GAC .
We will exchange views on:
➡️ Preperation of the March #EUCO , including decision on opening accession negotiations with 🇧🇦 Bosnia and Herzgovina;

➡️ Future of Europe.

On today's #GAC on #EUCO #Enlargement , 🇭🇷 strongly advocated the opening of accession negotiations with 🇧🇦, 🇺🇦 & 🇲🇩 and 🇬🇪 candidate status as a strong political signal and encouragement to progress further on their 🇪🇺 path.
Welcomed adoption of Conclusions on Demography!

Croatia commemorates 18 November the Victims of the Homeland War, #Vukovar and #Škabrnja . We pay tribute to 🇭🇷 veterans & all those who gave their lives for the freedom of 🇭🇷. Vukovar was the first European city totally destroyed after WWII, in 3-month siege and 2700 killed.💔🙏

Welcomed minister Bóka János for consultations and discussion on the upcoming priorities of 🇭🇺 #EU PRES . Excanged views on migration, energy supply & sources, #MFF , enlargement #StandWithUkraine & institutional reform of the #EU & on bilateral implementation of #Interreg .

At today's #GAC exchange of views on: preparation of the #EU CO , #RoL & Demographic toolbox. 🇭🇷 puts emphasis on demining in #StandWithUkraine , implementation of #EU action plans tackling migration routes & welcomes 4 pillars of toolbox, in particular empowering young generations!

Welcomed with pleasure Under Secretary of State for #EU affairs at Latvian MFA 🇱🇻 | #StandWithUkraine 🇺🇦 Ingrīda Levrence on political consultations, for an open and frank discussion on bilateral 🇭🇷🇱🇻 issues, current topics on the #EU agenda & 3 Seas Europe.

Fruitful meetings & sharing of insights w/h OHR BiH Schmidt and EU in Bosnia and Herzegovina Sattler. Encouraged members of Committee on 🇪🇺 Affairs of 🇧🇦 Parliamentary Assembly, Directorate for 🇪🇺 integration as well as NGO's to continue working on needed reforms.

Strong political support to 🇧🇦 for further progress on its 🇪🇺 path in Sarajevo w/h colleagues from 🇧🇬 Irena Dimitrova 🇭🇺 Judit Varga 🇷🇴 Daniela Gîtman & 🇵🇱 Karolina Rudzińska. Good to see achievements made by new CoM. Excellent exchange w/h Borjana Krišto & Elmedin Dino Konaković.

Good discussion with my 🇬🇧counterpart Leo Docherty MP. Agreed to fill Joint Declaration with concrete cooperation in foreign policy, defense& security, higher education, science etc. Exchanged views on situation in 🇺🇦 & WB6. Happy to see steady increase of 🇬🇧 tourists visiting 🇭🇷.

My visit to Skopje is yet another confirmation of strong political & technical support of 🇭🇷 #Croatia for the European path of our friendly 🇲🇰 #NorthMacedonia .
We encourage wide political consensus in reaching its 🇪🇺 goal.

Confirming firm support to further EU assistance to Ukraine in all aspects, at today's #GAC . One of the key elements of post-war reconstruction will be demining and 🇭🇷 will, together with 🇺🇦, host in October an International Donors Conference on Demining in #Zagreb .
