🧬 Small RNAs, big potential. Deputy Director Andrea Kasinski and team work with microRNAs to develop new #cancer therapies. Kasinski's lab developed a molecule that reduced the size of breast and lung cancer tumors in mice. purdue.link/ak-miRNA #cancerresearch Purdue University
Very excited to share our paper out today in Nature Methods, introducing TREX (Targeted RNase H-mediated Extraction of X-linked RBPs), a novel approach to reveal proteins that bind to any region of any RNA molecule of interest in living cells🧪: rdcu.be/dyZ2c (1/10)
A new pre-print from Martin Simard reported a co-chaperone, DNJ-12, which interacts with ALG-1 and loads several specific miRNAs. Very cool! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
I'm extremely excited to be organizing a symposium at NCI Center for Cancer Research with Joe Ziegelbauer on RNA therapeutics next week through the NCI RNA Initiative. Check out the amazing speaker list! bit.ly/49Ehl8A

A big thanks to #PurdueInnovates and #PurdueTrask for this honor that is helping to advancing our work in the microRNA therapeutic space Purdue Innovates Purdue Institute for Cancer Research Purdue Biological Sciences purdue.edu/newsroom/relea…
From developing therapies to treat non-small cell lung cancer to exploring how the body's immune system can be harnessed to cure #cancer, these are the PICR member projects recently awarded Trask Innovation Fund support. Purdue Innovates More here ➡ go.purdue.edu/3tif
Save the date! Keystone Meeting on non-coding RNAs - Jan 27-30, 2025, co-organized by Sebastian Kadener, Irene Bozzoni and me. #KSncRNA25 This site has all important dates with calendar links: keystonesymposia.org/conferences/co… Looking forward to seeing you there!
So grateful for an amazing PI Andrea Kasinski! Every year, she makes a lab t-shirt 👕 with names of everyone who has ever been in lab! ❤️ #KasinskiLab #BoilerUp! 🚂
Congratulations to Kasinski Lab graduate student, Julie(Jihye) Son. If you are looking for a future outstanding postdoc, Julie checks all the boxes.
Great turnout for our first RNA Club of the fall! Excellent talks from Shreyas Iyer Andrea Kasinski lab Purdue Biological Sciences and Subhransu Sahoo Majid Kazemian Purdue Biochemistry Purdue Institute for Cancer Research.
