I'm truly honored that the work on my group in Chromosome Biophysics has been so highly recognized. Particularly touched to receive this prize from Tel-Aviv University in Israel. Particularly now - in these difficult times. Honored to share this award with cees dekker, wish
Congratulations to Andi and colleagues for systematically dissecting the actions of Condensin and Cohesin loop extruders during mitotic exit! Thanks to our long standing collaboration with the lab of Jan-Michael Peters, as well as imaging infrastructure @EMBL and EMBL Imaging Centre

Super excited to start a new chapter at MIT Dept of BE with the ASHansen Lab!
TAD boundaries are permeable, with varying efficiencies to block loop extrusion. With Li-Hsin Chang we hypothesize that this permeability can used as a DNA-encoded regulatory feature and we discuss its potential impact on genome functions. Open Access at onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/bi…
So happy and relieved that this is now out in nature.com/articles/s4155…! Thanks to all authors esp Tri, Sarah H. Shahmoradian for help w revisions, and mentors Barmada Lab, Sam Pappas, and Bill Dauer for continued support. Also thanks to the reviewers who had thoughtful suggestions.
Excited about our first (of many!) collaborative endeavor with Mo Khalil out in Developmental Cell! A genetic approach to trigger heterochromatin misregulation on-demand in S.pombe enabled us to trace epigenetic adaptation in long-term, continuous cultures. authors.elsevier.com/a/1jWzg5Sx5gxl…
Congrats to Nicholas Aboreden blobellab with RCMC contribution from Viraat Goel ASHansen Lab . Having recently worked on what we thought was a looping factor (ZNF143 biorxiv.org/content/10.110… ) it was amazing to work on a strong Enh-Promoter looping factor LDB1 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
