Standing up a new race is truly hard work, especially in Spasaha. I wonder if they used any of my old code for this, or if it's all brand new...

This resonates with me.

I was fortunate enough to pay my own tuition in Grad School, which made me strangely invisible to a department that functioned as a financial aid treadmill.

So I left the BS to work as a Game Developer.

All I wanted was that forum of knowledge seekers.

There is a simple sentiment behind these metrics: Do people love it?

Let's never forget - this was always the job.

In the first 60 seconds of the video, this guy says 'you feel deracinated by the equations'. What a weird word, but the more I think about it, the more it applies.

Something about all of this really does disconnect me from the culture of physics.

You must measure acceleration as well as thrust. My bet is that thrust > 0 when acc = 0, but as acc increases, thrust will decrease.

A relativistic effect depends on how the device *moves*.

I can't even speak right now this is the coolest thing I ever heard of.

The industry is retracting, (and perhaps learning some hard lessons), but it isn't immediately clear to me that AAA is going to die anytime soon. To me, it sort of feels like 2010 near the advent of mobile gaming, when folks were saying that AAA was dead.

I like this.

It's therefore worth asking whether we have the best tools, either for creating or for challenging, scientific consensus.

Another 'too large for the big bang' galaxy has been discovered.

If I might direct your attention to the 'No Bang' theory, which DOES predicts cosmic redshift with Dark Energy, but DOESN'T limit the timeline of galaxy formation.

I feel like there should be a connection between my explanation of inertia, and Mike McCulloch's. My explanation is local, dealing with the relativistic interaction of energy that is contained within a volume. McCulloch's explanation is global, dealing with cosmic horizons.

Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) loved Hogwarts Legacy and even earned the Platinum Trophy on PS5.
