Saw Edge last night! They were great, pleasantly surprised by the works!

Taught at Swindon Dance CAT in Feb and tonight I get to watch them perform the piece we created together! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 good luck guys!

Amy here... sorry I’m not great at Twitter I forget it’s here and I never know quite what to say...

1/1 - Today I had an audition for a dancer role (yes this occasionally happens to me) but I had to leave it due to my knee injury (9 months and counting)

2/1 - I could of pushed through and I did the phrase one last time, I did it awfully as the whole time I was concerned about hitting my knee on the floor.. which meant I wasn’t giving my fullest and not showing my full ability

3/1 - I got emotional leaving as I really enjoyed the movement but I couldn’t risk doing more damage and not feeling 100% within my performance.. these are the things that I feel “normal” people forget about dancers...

4/1 there is a constant high standard from yourself and when you can’t delivery it it upsetting.. I understand that now but it took me awhile. Just know that it’s okay to no be 100% all the time and it’s okay to take a step back for your body and mental health 🙏

Teaching all next week at NLPAC and on the contemporary workshop!
