Rogue Chimp Petzie (AMW) Jyoti Gondek Every AB should fear more than ever falling on hard times or experiencing some calamitous event that alters their life for the worse under this gov't. The UCP does not care about poor or sick people.

When the HOC resumes tomorrow both Poilievre and Thomas should be required to apologize before they are re-admitted.

This should be the least after the disgusting and disgraceful performance they put on.

Neither holds any respect for the Parliamentary rules.

Jyoti Gondek How will some people get to work if they can no longer afford transit to get to their minimum wage job, some of those jobs, part time? What about getting to their doctor or to the grocery store? For many, this is their only mode of transit.

1/5 In the midst of an affordability crisis, the Govt of Alberta is walking away from supporting struggling Calgarians by ending the standing provincial funding contribution to Calgary's Low Income Transit Pass program, plus one-year funding for an additional seniors’ pass.

4/5 It is an insult to the lowest income Calgarians who are already struggling to get by. This provincial government continues to burden big cities by walking away from their commitments.

They have hundreds of millions of dollars to help build an arena for billionaires, but cut a few million for low-income transit passes.

This sure sounds an awful lot like socialism for the rich and rugged individualism for everyone else.

I’m no political scientist- but if I have this right the UCP have decided to punish Calgary/Edmonton because the UCP lost so badly in our 2 cities. That in turn is going to make us vote for them next time? Not going to happen Naheed Nenshi Kathleen Ganley

Not sure how we missed this...

In March, Shannon Phillips raised the fact that Danielle Smith sto to have been exploiting that she can give away taxpayers money via sole sourced contracts to pals with no rationale required.

They used Pension consultations to do it.

This is...

Interesting.

Looks like little Davey is not only violating the rules on disclosure for last year, but he's getting started on this year too...

Amazing that the UCP allows him to keep his membership, what with the violating election law...

This is yet another example of Smith’s β€œshoot first and ask where the target was after” approach causing real harm.

The unintended consequences are real.

I cry with you Naheed Nenshi this program saved me & my kids. I really do believe they are trying to eliminate an entire population and I am going to keep saying that because I can’t come up with any other logical reason that they are doing these things to the seniors & unprivileged

'In short, if Albertans want to push back against the UCP’s creeping authoritarianism, they’ll need to get off the couch. Make a commitment and a plan to stand up. Democracy demands that of us, from time to time.'

Today’s news about the provincial government’s decision to cut the low income transit passes in Calgary and Edmonton is incredibly upsetting.

This pass was a way to help our neighbours. A means for everyone to actively participate in their community. It was an essential service
