Peripheral nerve injury induces pain via microglia-mediated degradation of perineuronal nets around spinal projection neurons, a new mouse study reports. The findings in Science uncover a novel mechanism by which the sensation of pain is evoked. fcld.ly/uagpuan

Our latest paper is out in #Pain. We found that, in women with #fibromyalgia, bile acid metabolizing bacteria in the gut are changed, as well as bile acids in the blood. This discovery may allow us to better understand this syndrome and hopefully develop targeted therapies.
