I was refused PIP with an active cancer diagnosis and ongoing treatment. Apparently my condition of incurable cancer is not impacting my day to day life. I did a mandatory reconsideration with extra paperwork & refused again.

This is the key paragraph in the PIP Green Paper ... they know people can't afford to live on UC or wages ... they don't want people to be able to use PIP to live, as undermines drive to exploit people as workers in their shitty insecure economy for the benefit of capital.

The government is again attacking asylum seekers and disabled people during an election. We extend our solidarity and pledge to fight together. This gutter politics will not prevail. We will not be a scapegoat.

Disabled people having vouchers instead of cash benefits buys into the idea we are scroungers who can’t be trusted not to spend the cash on fags and booze.

When the Tories get their arse handed to them at the election, I’m spending my PIP on fucking champagne.

This fills me with despair. Danny needs 1:1 support and receives the highest level of PIP. He is not “unhealthy” He is autistic and has a learning disability - cutting off all support will not “improve his health” it will damage it catastrophically. #PIP #DisabilityRights

Many people work and claim PIP. So if Sec of State is saying that, he’s wrong..

Not in this climate - this government should come with a health warning.

Thing is, I’m much more concerned with how profligate politicians spend our taxes than what people who receive state benefits spend their PIP, UC etc on.
