Ever since admin told me to stop enforcing attendance and tardiness my first period class has only a few kids in their seats when class starts. And their grades reflect it. People say punishment is unfair, but this isn't serving kids either.

JanetteDanielle Students run the schools and they know it. There's a better chance of YOU getting reprimanded for confronting them. I learned the hard way to literally ignore it and let them do whatever they want because there's zero backup from administration and no consequences for anything.

NS Teachers Union We must remember that the pandemic has impacted the most vulnerable students severely. We have lost many students, and many others are struggling. And when these students needed us most, the HRCE increased our workload and cut the time we have to help them.

Nova Scotia our classrooms are bare bones. Recent absenteeism has been between 30-50%, I'm currently out with Covid, and there will have been (at least) 4 different substitute teachers while I'm out. I have no answers, but this is not just an isolated situation. #MaskUp
