1973: AMA asked Congress to suspend Dr Atkins’ license. Effort failed; too many of patients registered to testify in his defense. Medical Elite did not want people to learn that obesity & T2 #diabetes could be reversed by simply restricting refined grains & sugars.

Reasons diabetics struggle w/ emotionally? 1) Diabetics are told it is a debilitating disease, it isn't. 2) Diabetics are told it's ok to eat bread, cakes, cookies, cereal, pasta. It's not. 3) Med Industry promotes high BG to diabetics, A1C of 6.5 :( diabetes-warrior.net/2020/10/19/dia…

@Siraya19451613 For the vast majority of people circulating 25-hydroxy-vitamin D level is determined by sun exposure and (visceral) adiposity, dietary intake being secondary. I don’t think that supplementation alone can negate all of most effects of a bad diet.

Daniel J Drucker Periodic reminder that every other day eating in mice is probably more similar to every other week eating in humans (ie not comparable to what human IF is) and that 8-12 week old mice have a LOT more tissue size plasticity than adult humans.

I waded through the latest NHANES data set (2017 — March 2020 pre-pandemic). Not looking good for the average adult American. Some lowlights: Waist/Height Ratio: 0.61 Fasting Insulin: 15.0 µU/mL A1c: 5.86%* Fasting glucose: 113.6 mg/dL* *YES THESE ARE PRE-DIABETIC 😭

“vaccine-induced protection is already waning by about three months post-secondary” That sounds like 3 injections yearly, folks. High tech mRNA/vector new technologies vs. a live attenuated nasal spray. Benefit vs. AE. Who would’ve thought? A few of us… theguardian.com/world/2021/oct…

Leo Sousa 1. Why do we still worry about ‘catching the virus’ if the vaccines are highly efficient in preventing severe outcomes? 2. This is the perfect narrative to keep boosters going. And the perfect business model. x.com/gerdosi/status…
