This is the 1978-79 Calgary Stampeder Alumni Association membership card of end Dave Berry (33). Dave played for Stampeders for 6 years (1946-51). He never missed a game, playing in 70 regular season, 8 playoff and 2 Grey Cups. He was a starter on the undefeated 1948 champions.

Stampeders’ QB Doug Flutie sets to pass in Sept. 5, 1994, Labour Day game, a 48-15 win over Edmonton, at McMahon Stadium. It was first time Stamps ever wore black and they continue tradition Monday against the Elks (5 pm). Stamps ask fans to wear black and make it a ‘Blackout.’

The Stampeders will present Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Day for Labour Day game against Edmonton Elks on Monday at McMahon Stadium, with 300 CAF members participating. A special Military cap will be sold at Stamps Store (caps courtesy RCAF Honorary Colonel Stan Schwartz).

Harald Hasselbach, Calgary Stampeders DT 1990-93, who won 1992 Grey Cup and was 1993 CFL all-star, died today at 56. He was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, played H.S. at Surrey, B.C, and at U of Washington. He played with NFL’s Denver Broncos 1994-2000, winning 2 Super Bowls.

Burke Dales, Calgary punter 2005-11, died Sunday at 46. Dales, who joined Stampeders from Concordia University, was a West all-star 2006, 09-10-11, all-CFL 2010-11. He is 3rd all-time on Stamps with 45.6 average. Won 2008 Grey Cup. He played with Edmonton 2012-13, Montreal 2013.

Here is Ezzrett ‘Sugarfoot’ Anderson (23), with Long Beach, Calif., Bulldogs of Pacific Coast Professional Football League in 1948. Sugarfoot joined Calgary Stampeders the following year and played until 1955. Paul Salata (22) was his teammate with the Stamps in 1951-52.
