UK smelter ALVANCE British Aluminium British #Aluminium has entered a 10-year leasing agreement for the supply of 20 4-axle powder tank wagons. The wagons will replace a fleet of 2-axle models and will nearly double the payload capacity per trip between Blyth, UK and the Lochaber #smelter.
Constellium has bought plasma torch technology from PyroGenesis Inc. - PyroGenèse inc. to be used in an #aluminium remelting furnace. The technology will be integrated into a demonstrator furnace at a Constellium casthouse to explore how it could lead to more sustainable industrial heating.
