Yesterday, Hayden Huskies held a Black Leadership Conference that included students from its elementary feeder schools. In addition to an opening speech from @CurtisEnnisHDSB, workshops were held such as costume design, yoga, slam poetry, & more. ➡️A video recap is coming soon!

We're lucky to have J. Torres @jtorrescomics, Filipino Canadian author, here at Alton Village today talking to our Gr 6's about his work. He is a renowned graphic novelist and comic book writer who focuses on "historical fiction". Pretty cool stuff! 📖👍🏻
