We are devastated by the death of Richie Parry and his dad Tom. Richie was a kind, thoughtful and gentle boy. He was a ray of sunshine. We send our thoughts and condolences to Richie’s family and friends. We will miss him dearly.

The final competition in The Cornovii Cup took place on Monday 15th July in the form of a staff and students golf competition between Alsager School and @BrineLeas. Despite the weather, it was a great success, with some fantastic golf on show, mainly by the pupils.

In a closely fought contest, Alsager ended up as winners. Many thanks to Mr Elliot, Mr Morris and to Alsager Golf Club for bringing such a great event together. Everyone agreed that it should become an annual competition and a permanent fixture in The Cornovii Cup sporting calendar.

Alsager were crowned inaugural winners for 2023/24 and congratulations to them but I know Brine Leas will want to get their hands on the trophy when the competition starts again in September.
