We've just published in Psychophysiology (TheRealSPR)!

The RSPP-HD is a highly temporally sensitive method using EEG and the N2pc to trace the content and activation profile of visual search templates.

More exciting results to come later this year!

Once, we ran a study on Prolific and a participant wrote on Reddit that the study “Felt like I was losing the will to live.” I went on the Prolific Subreddit (24k members!) and asked what matters. Here is what they told me. A thread on happier participants and better studies 1/9

Did the Cass Review disregard the evidence of all but 2 of 103 studies on puberty blockers & hormones to reach it’s conclusions? Yes and no.

I’d like to offer a brief breakdown of what they did & didn’t do & clear-up some misunderstandings.

We have a new paper out about how attention resolves what we call the 'temporal binding problem'.

I'll get to writing a twitter summary soon (I hope!).

Meanwhile, feel free to read, critique, and ask any question you might have. It's open-access.

Here's an interesting question for you:
I'm a reviewer on a manuscript. One of the other reviewers wrote some comments I vehemently disagree with. Can I write to the editor about this? Can I mention this in my comments to the authors? What do you think?

Clear evidence that employers discriminate against nonbinary individuals.

All-else-equal, disclosing that one uses 'they/them” pronouns substantially lowers the chances of getting a job interview.

Over the last few years, I have been reflecting a lot about my mentorship qualities, so much so that I made a slidedeck to be fully transparent to future mentees. In case it's helpful to others, and not just more evidence of how neurotic I am, here it is! osf.io/dk9wv

My review of temporal attention is out in Nature Reviews Psychology! It covers key conceptual issues, data, and models in the field of visual temporal attention, and I hope it will be useful to both experts and those new to the topic
