I teach an elementary and high school guest lecture on energy choices. I focus on the duck curve and what we might do to supply clean firm power at night. Then I give the kids choices about different mixes of technologies to solve the problem. Enhanced geothermal wins every time.

After a few days at NARUC and talking with a number of our state regulators, I've got observations.... First, our regulators are by in large, highly dedicated. Hearings that last 14 hrs, complicated acronyms, difficult decisions. It's hard work that isn't glorious.
