Education Sunday It was wonderful to celebrate this special occasion with All Saints Church in school this morning. CTE theme this year was ‘Lost and Found’ focusing on the Parables of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. We remembered with God we are never lost! ❤️

Well done to our Year 5 & 6 girls who have thoroughly enjoyed the TASA Girls Football. Thank you to West Lancashire Sport Partnership for putting on a wonderful and well organised event. Our participation in Let’s Go Sing! got off to a flying start on Tuesday when Matthew came into school to teach the juniors the first four songs that we will be singing as part of our concert at Blackburn Cathedral. The children had a fabuolous time!

🎺🎶Year 5 are looking forward to continuing their Brass lessons on the trumpet this afternoon with a specialist teacher from Lancashure Music Hub. 🎶🎺

We are looking forward to our visit from Pearl of Africa on Wednesday! The school enjoyed a non-uniform day wearing the colours of the Ugandan flag 🇺🇬on Friday in preparation, raising much need funds for this excellent charity. #AgentsofJustice

The children in Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed the drumming, dancing and singing workshops with the Pearl of Africa Children's Choir (and Year 6) on Wednesday. They loved keeping in time to the beat with the drums as well as learning to sing and dance, what a great day! 🙂

The children in KS1 had a special science session on 'Bug Busting' and 'Hand Hygiene'. They learnt all about different types of microbes - both helpful and harmful - and how to stop harmful microbes from spreading. It was certainly learning for life!

Come, Ye Thankful People, Come! How lovely it was to be at All Saints Church this morning joining in with their Harvest Service. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and food of the harvest. Thank you to everyone who sent in gifts, ❤️ in action!

Despite the wet weather, we are looking forward to the TASA Composite Relay at Rufford Village Hall field organised by West Lancashire Sport Partnership

The sun ☀️ didn’t shine but the rain stopped long enough for us to take part in the TASA Composite Relay! Thank you to West Lancashire Sport Partnership and all the families for the support our children received 🙌 as they competed. Go Team HwBAS!👏🏻
