AH&H’S Peter is back with an update from Bonnie’s home in Hunt, Texas. Flooding caused significant damage, and our team is now gutting the house, cleaning the floors and removing insulation to prepare for mold sanitation. Recovery starts with these crucial first step.

In Texas, our work with @airbnb .org is helping families, pets, and relief teams find safe shelter after devastating floods. Together, we’ve supported 80 households, 200 people and 63 pets with temporary housing. Our volunteer team has even been welcomed by local host, David!

Final update from Oaxaca 🇲🇽 after Hurricane Erick: AH&H reached 16 communities, supporting 2,500+ people with clean water, tarps, and essentials. We also rebuilt La Noria’s water center, adding 24 solar panels to ensure safe water for 150+ families long-term🚰

In response to severe flooding in Chattanooga, TN, the AH&H team has already completed 11 debris removal sites and logged over 250 volunteer hours. We moved in quickly after the waters receded to provide immediate support, and the work continues.
