I am absolutely delighted that Jude Gates is the new chair of our Sustainability Taskforce. She brings extensive knowledge of the publishing industry and the environmental sustainability challenges it faces. I very much look forward to working with and learning from Jude.

My story of Olympic spirit from Athletics on Saturday. I sat by a lovely man from Australia. He kept pulling out new flags from his bag & waving them. I asked him about it, “I bring the 9 smallest nations flags with me as they won’t have many people in the stands” 🥹 #Paris2024

HarperCollinsUK The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas is a sweet pop-up book about a monster whose feelings are jumbled up. The vibrant colours and visualisations encourage my kids to understand and verbalise their feelings; it is so important that children feel they can talk about their emotions.

HarperCollinsUK Templar Books Bonnier Books UK lemn sissay OBE FRSL Canongate (has left) Reading Abandoned by Anya Peters helped me understand why people become homeless. This book changed my outlook and I now make a conscious effort to acknowledge homeless individuals by offering food or simply showing recognition, so they don’t feel as invisible as Anya did.

HarperCollinsUK Templar Books Bonnier Books UK lemn sissay OBE FRSL Canongate (has left) The Naked Don’t Fear the Water by Matthieu Aikins is an empathetic and honest report of a man living in Kabul embarking on a journey to Europe with immense challenges. I left my country for opportunity knowing I always have a safe home to return to. Not everyone is so lucky.
