Remember when Britain had a week of coordinated outrage when a punk band said death to the genocidal Israeli army? In the North of Ireland, a part of my country Britain still sadly has jurisdiction over, this year like every year, British loyalists call for KAT, i.e., all Irish

watching people go "faking DID was so fun back in 2020" knowing people who actually have it, including myself, are now struggling to get proper resources and care due to the sheer amount of misconception these fuckers spread about the entire disorder

Reform UK Zia Yusuf Did you know that the unelected DOLGE Admin is targeting children in care What a fantastic look targeting unaccompanied asylum seekers and spouting figures that are in the public domain and pretending they've uncovered something Tory rejects lower than the Tory Party

Unaccompanied children who have been bombed, beaten, raped or abused, can have as much Netflix and pizza as they can watch or eat as far as I’m concerned. You really are soulless creatures aren’t you*. *rhetorical.

Brief eugenics lesson: Nazis didn’t murk autistic people during Aktion T4 b/c they saw them as useful workers They used a disability scale to decide who to kill; later, Americans to decide who to sterilize. For both, the “useless” were described in terms like the R slur

Indigenous people were rounded up and sent to reservations, Black ppl were rounded up and sent to plantations, Japanese ppl were rounded up & sent to internment camps, Black ppl during Jim Crow were rounded up for crimes like loitering & sent to prison

Disabled folks deserve nice things even if we can’t work. Actually, even abled folks who don’t work deserve nice things. If you believe otherwise, don’t even think about calling yourself an anti-ableist or anti-capitalist.

Those who criticise people who complain about the heat need to roll down their judgements. Many of those who complain about the heat are disabled people who have medical conditions which get worse in the heat. For example, I get violent heat induced migraines. People with POTS,

It happened to Native Americans forced to walk The Trail of Tears. It happened to Black Africans enslaved on plantations. It happened to Japanese Americans during WWII. It happened to Muslims after 9/11 It's been happening to asylum seekers crossing the southern border since 2008

Keir, you keep going on about ‘working people’. It’s getting really divisive. What about disabled people? Unpaid Carers? Pensioners? Many need driveways for Motability vehicles or wheelchair access. Working people can become sick people. Society isn’t just workers 🪡

A thing that isn’t commonly mentioned about climate change: extreme weather can harm and even kill vulnerable people, such as disabled people, elderly, very young children, pregnant women and others. But as always, these groups are forgotten about - especially disabled people.

Yes, because I studied the rise of the Third Reich in school. There are also examples of this happening in 20th century American history. It's shocking, but predictable.

It doesn't even hurt the right, the only people it hurts is disabled folks the left is supposed to be fighting with and for. But ableism has become such an ingrained thing in our society that invoking disabilities and disabled terminology as insults is second nature to people.
