Would make more sense to have Smith at 4 then Root, who is considered the slower scorer, at 3. A very batting heavy line up as well with an over reliance on part time spin from Root and Livingstone. #englandcricket

After yesterday's win, it seems a good time to share my monthly #STFC musings for the Swindon Link. Do have a read 👇 swindonlink.com/sport-and-leis…

A record breaking day at Taunton as Tom Banton hits the highest Somerset FC score of 344* in a classy, composed, and quality innings. Along the way he and James Rew broke Somerset's record 5th innings partnership. A real statement of intent in their title bid. #CountyChamp

What an incredible effort by a team who just love to defy the odds. You can never write Worcestershire off. Huge questions for Somerset on failing to get over the line after 200 overs. #CountyChamp

An incredibly interesting early kick off at The County Ground. Title chasing Bradford, who haven't scored at this stadium in their past 2 outings, come up against a Swindon team unbeaten at home in 2025 in League 2.

Ian Holloway replacing a left back with a forward after 28 minutes, with the opposition down to 10. This is football heritage. #STFC

What a substitution it proved to be. Ameen mazed around The County Ground like it was his playground as he taunted a crumbling Bradford defence. A rememberable performance in a far from forgettable game. #STFC

Swindon record consecutive 4 nil away league wins for the first time since WW2 - I think. Might even be longer - I could only scan through seasons of results for so long! #STFC

A really good and proactive signing by Worcestershire. Nicholls should provide some much needed stability for the only county yet to get a batting bonus point in 2025.

George Cox the only big surprise here. Personally I'm a bit surprised to see Glatzel offered a new deal, but he must've done enough to impress at the end of the season.

Fantastic news about Sam Cook. But the pick of Bashir for a 4 day game against the 10th ranked test team, shows how desperate they are to play what looks an expired project into form. Potts more worthy of a game as a 4th seamer in my opinion.
