Last week, cadets from Ark Alexandra teamed up with Eastbourne College for a 24-hour overnight training exercise. From setting up camp in freezing temps to night ambush drills and blank firing scenarios, they tackled a tough programme led by staff from both schools.

This term, D&T Club is diving into hands-on projects using both digital and traditional techniques—from coding robots and 3D printing to working with wood and textiles. Students kicked off with Lego Robotics, learning to program sensors, motors, and lights. Next up: Robots!

Our Year 7 football team have had an incredible run of form this term. The boys displayed outstanding skill and determination to finish 2nd place in the Ark Football Championships — a brilliant achievement in a highly competitive tournament.

Our Year 7/8 boys secured a superb 9–3 victory over Buckswood in a touch rugby match on Monday afternoon. Despite heavy rain throughout much of the game, both teams displayed outstanding determination and sportsmanship.

The Year 7 Boys' Football Team battled hard to secure a thrilling 4–3 victory over Bexhill Academy. In a close game, every player gave their all, showing great determination. A special mention goes to Woody, who made an outstanding debut scoring two goals to help seal the win.

Today the students celebrate their hardwork with another incredible Drop Down Day. From sports such as football and table tennis to arts and crafts creating creepy spiders and amazing pumpkins, everyone had the opportunity to have fun, enjoy their passions and learn new things.

In Sewing Club this week, in the theme of Remembrance the students made paper patterns, pinned them to felt, cut them, layered up and hand stitched a button to the centres to make beautiful poppies.

Students have been celebrating 100% attendance this week on the William Parker site. Students who had 14 days consecutive attendance since we returned after October half term have been rewarded with a breakfast bap and hot chocolates. Well done to all who achieved it!
