Collective computation: What makes a "good" formal language for computation in biology? Some of us Santa Fe Institute, building on Fontana + others, believe an FL needs to take seriously the logic of biological mechanism + thermodynamic constraints. Useful background to this discussion

Anyone who claims they are self-made are delusional egoists to be avoided. To be self-made is to go to a land where no person has settled. To know what no person has known. To build what no person has built. And to be emotionally, physically, and mentally self-sufficient.

Do not delude yourself. Nothing we do matters. But, that does not mean it is not worth pursuing. Beauty is pleasant to behold, and the ceaseless cycle of death and rebirth is a delightful waltz.

When you overexplain, listeners will be less likely to ask questions and more likely to retain problematic interpretations - fueling your perception that you have to explain things more. Solve this by giving others a chance to speak and ask questions.
