this captures my criticisms of the EU quite well

Excited to publish our second op-ed in Transformer today, from Bengüsu Özcan, Alex Petropoulos 🤠 and Max Reddel who ask a very good question: can open-weight models ever be safe? TL;DR: Yes, but it's going to take a lot of hard work.

Would be great if true, but Europe actually has the most barriers to progress and so will lose the most & benefit the least from the AI revolution. Unless, of course, we fix those barriers and turn the ship around!

Huh. I tweet different to how I think.

The EU's new entry checks "only add a few minutes per passenger"... St Pancras currently has a queue so long it took me more than a minute just to walk it. This is stupid, it's a 2hr train, plenty of time to check passports etc on it.
