🚨RADICAL RETHINK: STEREORETENTIVE CROSS COUPLING UNLOCKED🚨 Today in ChemRxiv (chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxi…) the first method for stereoretentive radical cross-coupling is disclosed. No fancy ligands or redox needed—just a Ni-diazene twist. 120 years after Gomberg, a new chapter

Excited to share my first JACS paper on asymmetric HAT catalysis! Huge thanks to the Knowles, Houk, and Mayer groups for the amazing collaboration and support. Grateful for all I’ve learned on this journey! 🧪✨ 🔎 Check it out: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja… #JACS

I am sharing this preprint from my group. Inspired by all the great recent skeletal editing work, we developed an atropisomer selective strategy to take Indoles to quinolines. chemrxiv.org/engage/chemr...

We are excited to announce our J. Am. Chem. Soc. paper on frameworks with metalloprotein-like sites! ɑ-helices designed to assemble by metal-coordination and the hydrophobic effect. Point mutations yield unique frameworks with diverse metalloprotein-like sites. tinyurl.com/jk62cb27

After applying to 9 PhD programs, I was disappointed to only get into 1. My mom told me, “Bloom where you’re planted.” 6 years later — I received multiple invitations to give talks, won several awards, was named a rising star, got my paper accepted in Nature. I guess I bloomed.

Our approach to the total synthesis of chartelline C, out now in JACS. Photochemistry and unique topology gave way to some really interesting reactivity! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

I'm excited to share my lab's first preprint! It describes Affinity Map, a highly general method providing proteomic profiles of binding affinity for small molecules, peptides, and antibodies in cell lysate, organ extracts, and live cell surfaces. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

We detail the design & synthesis of metal-ɑ-helix frameworks. If you are just interested in learning how to make #peptides, we have provided a thorough procedure for setting up your first solid phase peptide synthesis (#SPPS)! Article free until Sept 6! tinyurl.com/v47fade9

Adding to the growing toolbox of aryl azide syntheses: From Shangyu Li on ChemRxiv, Pd-catalyzed coupling of ArBr/ArOTf with NaN3. This reaction is trickier than it looks: as we show, [LPd-N3]2 dimers form with many L's & the pdt can inhibit Pd(0). doi.org/10.26434/chemr…
