A good analogy for why I don’t want my students using AI to do their coursework. The purpose is to struggle with the material and receive feedback on the work that helps you reflect on your thought process. Some students think the purpose is to appear to have done the work.

Reducing overhead on grants to 15% is definitely bad news and a malicious attempt to defund universities. However, overheads should never have gotten as high as 55-70%. It’s insane that so little grant money actually goes to research.
