Anion binding community: read our story on the impact of EWGs that are 8! bonds away from a C(sp3)-H binding site in bambusuril macrocycles Angewandte Chemie. 🏆Log(Ka)=13 for I- in acetonitrile.🏆 Great work by PhD student Matus Chvojka, co-supervised with Vladimir Sindelar.
Great to see Alessio Cataldo turn into a Dr at the end of his 4-year PhD journey. Also a great occasion to re-unite several of the postdocs and PhD students that are/have been working on anion transport in our Engineering of Molecular NanoSystems over the past 5 years.😊 #proudsupervisor
Proud of this Perspective summarizing our work on antimony Lewis acids! Congrats to Brendan Murphy (Brendan Murphy) for putting much of this together. Stay tuned for his future contributions to antimony chemistry and pnictogen bonding.
Here’s a #CartoonAbstract for @alessiocataldo5’s #RSCAnalytical #RSCOrg #RSCPoster all about investigating transmembrane transport. Don’t forget to go read their full poster!

Our molecules selectively transport chloride through the lipid bilayer by employing bis(1,3-propanediol)-linked meta-dipropynylbenzene-based small molecules.

Our molecules transport bicarbonate and HCl through the lipid bilayer. But they also have antibacterial properties! 🧫🦠

Delighted to see our research published Stephen Butler. Now with page numbers and cover art. 🤩 Check out the article here: doi.org/10.1039/D1SC05…
Congrats to all poster prize winners at ISMSC 2022 and our very own @alketa_lutolli (middle) from Flood Group
Great chemistry, great location and great people. The #ismsc2022 has for sure been a great success!!
Two talented Italians working abroad got poster prizes ISMSC 2022 in Eugene, Oregon. We need you back! SupraBioNano Lab Politecnico di Milano Donatella Sciuto Ferruccio Resta
A huge 'Thank You' to the organizers ISMSC 2022 for selecting my abstract for a flash-talk about fluoride transmembrane transport. Had a great time presenting my work. Hennie Valkenier ISMSC 2022
Well done to our PhD student Alessio Cataldo from Université libre de Bruxelles giving a talk on transmembrane transport of Fluorides! Excellent talk! ✅🏆👍 #KroseDuijsterSymposium
