⁦National Forestry Authority-Uganda⁩ will be on ⁦uniquefm⁩ discussing how local communities can participate in forest management.

*Sliver Starts Kyarushesha Youth inspired to Protect Forests and Wildlife* The NFA-Bugoma CFR Ecotourism Supervisor Mr. Amuson Gumisiriza engages students of Sliver Starts Kyarushesha on the importance of protecting forests and wildlife.

Through fun and engaging activities like nature walks, storytelling, and tree planting. He educated the pupils on how forests help clean the air, support life, and fight climate change.

During the interaction students also learned how wildlife is vital to our environment & why it must be protected from threats like poaching & habitat loss. By educating the young generation, Sliver Starts is raising future &leaders who care about nature & are ready to protect it.

National Wildlife Crime Coordination Taskforce where NFA is a member held a key engagement involving the District Security of Kikuube. They agreed to develop an effective strategy to combat & manage illegal activities within Bugoma CFR

As a result of the deliberations, it was agreed that joint community engagement activities will commence on 26th August 2025. The engagements are seen as a vital step toward fostering collaboration with local communities & stakeholders to address wildlife & forest-related crimes

In a statement issued by the Authority Spokesperson Aldon Walukamba , the land designated for the pipeline route was critically assessed & mapped in 2018. Project Affected Persons were identified, compensated & given ample time to harvest their crops before voluntarily vacating the area.
