#1: 10 more sleeps until my surgery. Shit has gotten very real, and the enormity of the recovery from a total abdominal hysterectomy has started to kick in. Why are women’s health issues still so taboo?

#2 People tweet & post surgeries all the time, and yet you rarely see women posting about #hysterectomy surgery, mainly because it makes people uncomfortable, and it brings out the pity police. Why?

#3: this is why I need a #totalabdominalhysterectomy at 46- constant bleeding and discomfort caused by #fibroids in my uterus. My uterus is the size of someone who is 6 months pregnant which pushes all my internal organs up and away….

#4 So everything bar my ovaries is coming out- uterus, Fallopian tubes, cervix. They can’t do it with keyhole or robotic surgery due to the size of the fibroids & my uterus so they have to do it c-section style #hysterectomy #ItsOkNotToBeOk
