From convo w my pastor this AM: "What if I didn't do all I could?" And he said: "Grace is that God has done all HE can." May every tired heart feel this as deeply as it is needed, starting with my own. 😭🙏🏻

Really disorienting to hear my pastor repeatedly identify my attitudes toward people and situations as "very kind" and to be characterized on the whole as such, because I am so so so aware of where I fall short of this.

My pastor also said something to the effect that some hopes for things to be made right don't have to die, but may only be met in the resurrection; that Christ's tears fall with ours in the in between, and that He isn't on His way elsewhere while they do.
