It took me WAY longer than I care to admit that “meeting people in the wild” isn’t practicing pickup lines and working up the gumption but rather saying hi and having a normal human conversation.

I love how artsy my new phone camera is and that it tries to make a picture all fancy when it has no business doing it. I took a picture of a page of a book to send to colleagues and it automatically used depth of field and I was like chill out it's not that deep.

The more I'm on the apps the more I think about this and how ABSOLUTELY true it is.

'We need to be better at allowing kids to be stupid.'
Meaning, it's literally kids' jobs to make mistakes and do dumb things.
And, ngl, I think about this a lot and it has really helped my teaching.

I gave someone my number recently and they said that their phone (not an iPhone--can't remember what kind) gave them my full name and a picture of me when it imported my contact info.
Ummm wut? Do you know if there's a way for me to not have this happen? Did I agree to this?
