“It was the greatest shot of my career and I just want everyone to know… it was an inturn!” Quebec’s Jean-Michel Menard is a Brier champion and now a two-time Canadian Mixed Champion thanks to this game-saving shot. An honour to get to call this exciting gold medal final.

Hey Air Canada — please, please, PLEASE get a message to your ground crew at YVR for going above and beyond to get me and my luggage home yesterday despite a 10-minute connection time. Made my day! Thank you!

Hey, Christmas came early! Can't wait to dive into this book from my friend and former colleague Jean Mills! An amazing person with amazing stories! Thanks, Jean!

This was shattering news to hear. Met Woody at my first Brier, 1996, and he saw I had a passion for curling. He brought me to the Herald, opened so many doors in this sport for me. Thank you to Terry Jones for this wonderful remembrance. Deepest sympathies to Woody's family.

This is pretty significant for my hometown. Just in time for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts next February in Kamloops — the 42nd year of Kruger Inc. being the title sponsor of the most famous women's national curling championship in the world.

On the list of jobs I'd hate to have right now, Air Canada customer service would be near the bottom; I feel for them every time I call. Big shoutout to Henry in the Toronto call centre for sorting me out after a cancellation, and doing it with class, patience & professionalism.

Hoping that A) Dave has a speedy recovery; B) Mark knocks it out of the park as the acting HC; and C) that Jean Lefebvre's fumblerooski play is finally put into the playbook after years of being ignored by DD.

Six days into the Brier and not a single emailed fan complaint about players screaming too loud. Truly wish I could say the same during the Scotties. But, of course, I can't. It's International Women's Day, and you should read this column about why that crap needs to stop.

I grew up in #Kamloops, I live here now, and I'm struck with unbelievable sadness at the news today that the iconic Red Bridge has been destroyed by fire. I prefer to remember it as it was captured on canvas by my friend Laura Zerebeski 10 years ago. You can see more of her

Absolutely shattering news on so many levels. One of the really good guys on the curling and CFL scene. Man, this hits hard. Thinking of his family and media colleagues across Canada this morning.
