I'm listening to the audiobook of an excellent thriller. But the narrator has decided to invest every single line with the same dramatic tension: "He wore handmade shoes... that he INSISTED on polishing... EVERY... SINGLE... SUNDAY!" Twelve hours left. I doubt I'll see it out.
