In my junior year of HS I arranged a few James Brown songs for the jazz band. took it to showtime @ the apollo and made it all the way to the semi finals. im putting this here because i ALWAYS forget this small piece of joy in my teenage years.

With that same velocity we went on to do the NYSSMA jazz competition and won Gold w/ distinction. I see my HS is still promoting that from 2009 🤣
