As I prepare for a debate about kleptocracy in Kazakhstan, protestors gather outside the Commons to denounce corruption and humans rights abuses in their homeland. The UK is complicit in this wrongdoing. It’s time the Govt acts swiftly to tackle the kleptocrats of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan has been ruled by a kleptocratic class that has grown rich off the back of money stolen from its people. Enough is enough. Today Inter-Parliamentary Alliance against Kleptocracy is calling for governments in the UK, US and EU to issue anti-corruption sanctions against the kleptocrats of Kazakhstan.
