Customs Surat Airport intercepted a Bangkok-bound passenger and seized 154.81 carats of cut and polished diamonds worth ₹43.97 lakh, along with USD 6,000, concealed in the baggage. The items were seized under the Customs Act, 1962.

Customs Surat & DRI intercepted a passenger arriving from Bangkok via Flight IX-263 and seized 1.68Kg of Hydroponics Ganja worth Rs 1.68 Cr. The substance tested positive for Cannabis. The passenger has been arrested under the NDPS Act.

Customs Ahmedabad intercepted an Indian national arrived from Bangkok on AirAsia flight FD-144 and seized 3.924 kg of hydroponic weed concealed in 120 pouches. The passenger was arrested under the NDPS Act, 1985.

Ahmedabad Customs, based on passenger profiling, intercepted a male pax arriving from Kuala Lumpur via flight Air Asia AK-91. One 310.12 gms 24Kt gold bar (Market Value ₹44.05 lakh) concealed in jeans pocket seized under Customs Act, 1962.

Based on intelligence, AIU Ahmedabad Customs intercepted two male passengers departing to Bangkok by Thai Lion Air SL-213. Undeclared foreign currency US dollar, GBP & AUD valued at ₹ 44 lakh seized for violations of Customs Act, 1962 & FEMA.

On specific intelligence, AIU, Customs SVPI Airport Ahmedabad, intercepted a pax departing to Bangkok by VZ-571 on 14.01.2026 and seized undeclared USD & GBP worth ₹42.06 lakh under Customs Act & FEMA. Investigation underway.
