It’s official! Group 14-resistant kochia from Saskatchewan exhibited 63- to 82-fold resistance to saflufenacil. Keep an eye on kochia plants escaping your PP burndown.

We have been collaborating with Charles Geddes on concerns of Group 14 resistance in kochia. We are working with populations that have some similarities. Within ND populations, here are some observations for all Group 14 herbicides. (1/6)

Spent time with my weed science Extensionistas. One take away from a great herbicide resistance update: We need to kill EVERY weed twice because any weed that produces seed is a threat to ALL herbicides.

Spent the day yesterday with Mark Glady at the Watertown #answerplot evaluating roots and stand ratings for #cornrootworm injury in various trait and insecticide treatments. Really interesting to try and use the root/node injury scale. Adam Varenhorst
